This policy explains what personal data Superb Car Wash collects when you book a wash, join the Club, or work with us as a valeter — and what we do with it. We handle your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What we collect

When you book a wash

• Your name, mobile number and email address
• The service address and postcode where the wash takes place
• Your vehicle size and the options you choose
• Booking history, appointment times and completion photos of your vehicle
• Payment is taken by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number

When you join the Superb Club

• The same contact details as above, plus your subscription status and renewal dates

When you become a valeter

• Your name, contact details and service area
• Identity and payout details you provide to Stripe for onboarding and verification
• Job history, ratings and completion records

Automatically

• Strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and let checkout work (see our cookie policy)
• Basic technical logs (such as IP address) kept to keep the service secure

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide the wash you booked — matching you with a valeter, taking payment, and keeping you updated. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To run the Superb Club — managing your annual membership and renewals. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To keep the platform safe and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
• To send you occasional offers, only if you have opted in. Basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed, and never sell your data. Our key processors are:

• The valeter assigned to your booking receives your name, service address and job details so they can carry out the wash.
• Stripe processes payments and valeter payouts. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how they handle card data.
• Supabase hosts our database, and Netlify hosts the site.
• Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and tax duties (generally up to six years for financial records). Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. We delete or anonymise data we no longer need.

Where your data is held

Your data is primarily stored within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK/EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and receive it in a portable format.
